It is with heavy hearts that the family announces her passing on June 21st, 2016 at the Maison Vale Hospice, Sudbury.
Loving mother of Johanna DeLonghi, predeceased (husband Devin Shiminsky). Cherished companion of Eddie Gorc (son Jason Cecchini). Beloved daughter of Virginio and Elsa (Favaro) Girolametto of Copper Cliff both predeceased. Dear sister of Luigi Girolametto, Susan Gallo (husband Renato), and Danilo Girolametto (wife Kim). Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews, Tanya Cartini (husband Eugene), Paul Gallo (wife Kathy), Jessica Shouldice (husband Mark), Christopher Gallo, Elena Girolametto, and Emma Girolametto. Loving great aunt to Alyssa Cartini, Leah Cartini and Gabriel Shouldice. Patricia was a passionate teacher who was a champion for students with special needs and their families. Despite many life challenges, including the death of her daughter, she shared a loving smile and infectious laughter with everyone she met. She was a co-founder of Sudbury’s Suicide Prevention Day and funded an annual scholarship in Johanna’s memory at St. Benedict’s Catholic High School. She will be sadly missed by her companion, family, and many friends.
