Passed peacefully with loving family by his side. Loving husband of 55 years to Rita (nee Marion). Beloved father to Mark (Mary Ann), Rick, Kathryn (Regan), and Derek (Louise). Cherished grandfather to Kaitlin, Anthony, Domenic, Michael, Alaina, Carina, and Monica. Brother of Jeffery (Caroll) and Michael (2007) (Elaine). Brother-in-law to Nino Marion and Carolina Caughell. Uncle to several nieces and nephews. Dear friend to Sue Blaney and Gail Stanley.
Gary spent the first half of his career as a Mechanical Draftsman at various Tool & Die Shops and spent the latter part of his career passing his skills and knowledge onto his students at Shawnee and Riverside High schools.
Visitation will take place at Marcotte Funeral Home (12105 Tecumseh Rd, Tecumseh 519-735-2830) on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 2-5 & 7-9 with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 12048 County Road 34, Maidstone ON, on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 10 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Catholic Cemetery.
