It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jackie Lafond on March 10, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Gerald (2004). Loving mother of Lisa Lafond and Shawn Marie (Marcel Lajoie). Cherished Nana to Dylan (Ambre) and Kyle (Holly). Jackie is survived by her sister Margaret Knuckle and her sister in law Carol Hastings. Predeceased by sister Eleanor Mascarin and brother Jerry Hastings. Jackie is also survived by many nieces and nephews, step sisters and a step brother. Jackie was a long time employee of Walmart, and a dedicated volunteer at local schools, hospitals, St. Anne’s Church, and the downtown mission. She was an avid camper and world traveler who loved life to its fullest. Visitation will be held at Marcotte Funeral Home 12105 Tecumseh Road 519-735-2830 Monday, March 13 2017 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Visitation will continue Tuesday March 14, 2017 from 9 am to 10 am with procession to St. Anne’s Church for Mass beginning at 10:30 am. Cremation to follow. Donations made to the Breast Cancer Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
