HENDRIKSEN, Bernardus (Ben) – age 78 years, passed away peacefully at home on April 10, 2016 with his family by his side. Ben was the beloved husband of Mary Hendriksen (nee Den Otter) for 50 years. Loving father of Dave (Corry), Pete (Donna), Andre (friend Morgan) and Dan (Amanda). Dearest Opa to Chad, Ethan, and Emma; Morgan and Kaitlin; Maddy and Cole; and Ben and Megan. He was the son of the late Theodorus and Gesina Hendriksen. Born in Holland, the youngest of sixteen children. In 1959 he followed in the footsteps of two brothers Frank and Ray, both now deceased, and immigrated to Canada. Also survived by sisters-in-law Mary Hendriksen and Riet Hendriksen in Canada as well as his brother Theet (Tonny deceased) and sister Annie (Joop) Steenbreker in Holland. Predeceased by brothers and sisters in Holland. Brother in law to Johanna and Roger Gemus, John (deceased) and Toni Den Otter, Peter and Hannah Den Otter, Helen Hank (deceased) Tibben and Joe Den Otter (friend Janet Steward). Visitation at Brock & Visser Funeral Home Thamesford Chapel 177 Dundas St., Thamesford ON on Tuesday April 12, 2016 from 3 – 6 pm. Mass of Christian burial at St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, 1 Fallons Lane, London ON on Wednesday April 13, at 10 am. Private burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Ingersoll Ontario.
