Passed away peacefully at Riverview Gardens, Chatham on Thursday, March 3, 2016. Predeceased by her husband Edgar (1979) and parents John W. Lachapelle (1962) and Ida (Dupuis) Lachapelle (1988). She leaves behind her son Richard and his wife Louise. Predeceased by one brother John Lachapelle (1978) and wife Angeline (1995). Survived by sister-in-law Rita Cloutier and late husband Raymond (1988). Dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Marie was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Women=s League for 73 years. She worked for many years at 1867 Restaurant from the day it opened. Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home, 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. C.W.L. prayers 2 p.m. Sunday. Parish prayers 8 p.m. Sunday. Funeral service from the funeral home Monday, March 7, 2016 at 10 a.m., then to St. Francis Xavier Church, Tilbury for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society, St. Francis Xavier Church Building Fund, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
