The family announces with sorrow her death at the Golden Manor in Timmins at the age of 86. Wife of the late Roland Fortier (1995). Beloved mother of Florent (Francine) Fortier of Hamilton, Florence (Cyril) Provencher of Toronto, Robert Fortier (Debbie) of Timmins, Nicole (Lorne) Blais, Ronald (Anne) Fortier. Proud grandmother of Lynne Roketta, Daniel Fortier, Christine Smith, Daniel and Richard Provencher, Jamie Broderick, Christopher Blais, Brian Fortier and Melanie Fortier, 8 great-grandchildren. She leaves behind her sisters-in-law Pauline Lessard, Mathilda (late Lucien) Fortier and Jeannette Tremblay, her brothers-in-law Rheal (Marie) Fortier and Andre Dumouchel. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Aurele Lessard, Clarence Lessard (Rhea), Gisele Belanger (Al McDonald), Henri Lessard, Alice Lessard, Georgette Dumouchel, Gilbert Lessard (Lina), Laurent Lessard (Gloria). Fleurette was an excellent cook, she enjoyed doing puzzles and loved watching the Montreal Canadiens. The family expresses their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of The Golden Manor of Timmins for the excellent care compassion during her stay as well the staff of the Palliative Care unit. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, October 26, 2015 from the Chapel of Miron-Wilson Funeral Home (Fr. Simon Drapeau officiating). A reception will follow in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge. Remembrance donations to the Golden Manor would be greatly appreciated.
