It is with great sorrow that the family announces Gabrielle’s passing at the Timmins and District Hospital surrounded with her loved ones on Friday, July 8, 2016 at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by her husband Léandre Lafrenière. Loving mother of France, Denise (Ghislain Goyette), Lynn (Bill Jackpine), late René (late Monelle), Nicole (Yvon Rouleau), Richard (Marlyne Fortin), Daniel (Amy) and Michel (Bonnie). Cherished grandmother of 22 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters Carmen, Yolande and Denise along with their husbands. She also leaves brothers and sisters-in-law of the Lafrenière family and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 2 grandchildren and her siblings Rose-Aimée, Guild and Roland.
As per Gabrielle’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside celebration will take place at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery at a later date. Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the
