Avis de décès de Lothar Wolfgang Fritsch check_circle

Lothar Fritsch passed away suddenly during the holidays at the young age of 59. He is survived by sisters Angela Snider and Mahin Calderone.

His remarkable intelligence led him to master several languages fluently and to build a stellar career in market research, developing several industry acknowledged and adopted paradigms over the years.

The private person, underneath the polished and professional exterior, was a far more complex individual. Lothar was an adventurer at heart: he was widely travelled and especially loved Central and South America, where he enthusiastically explored Maya and Inca pyramids over decades. Born in Germany and brought up in Spain before immigrating to Canada with his family in 1971, he developed a keen curiosity and respect for other cultures and languages. He profoundly believed in the good of people regardless of cultural, religious, or personal lifestyle preferences.

Lothar loved music, dancing, good food, nature and animals, especially dogs. Above all, he loved nothing better than to engage someone in a compassionate and spirited debate about politics, market research, global finances, or any topic that stimulated his brilliant mind at the moment. These debates were often interspersed with a dry and sometimes wicked humour.

Lothar will be greatly missed by Angela and Mahin, his brother-in-law Larry, his many friends, and colleagues.

Honouring his wishes, Lothar will be cremated privately without a formal funeral. In his memory, family and friends are invited to continue his tradition of helping those in need by making donations to WorldVision.ca.
