Passed peacefully surrounded by family on January 29, 2017 at Toronto Western Hospital at the age of 87.
Beloved husband of Rosa (nee Silivestro). Cherished father to Teresa Marino, Nancy (Gaetano) Rendace, Franca (Dominic) Maone, Pina (Joe) Falcone. His memory lives on by his grandchildren whom he loved and adored, Julia, Frank, Luigi, Maria, Sophia, Nicolas and his precious great granddaughter Jessica. Predeceased by parents: Francesco (Teresa). Granddaughter: Baby Angel. Siblings: His brother Giovanni (Teresa), and sisters Lucia , Maria (Ferdinando). He will be forever missed by his siblings: Antonio (Rosina), Marfisa (predeceased Antonio) and Espedito (Adriana) and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Family and friends will be received at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St) on Wednesday, February 1st from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, February 2nd at 10:00am at St. Clare’s Church (1118 St. Clair Ave W). Donations can be made in memory of Nicola Marino to St. Clare’s Catholic Church (133 Westmount Ave, York, Ontario M6E 3M6) On behalf of our family we thank you for your continued comfort and support during this most difficult time.
