Hotze went home to be with his LORD peacefully in his 84th year with his family by his side.
Born, October 23, 1933, Died February 28, 2017
Beloved son of the late Jacob and Tryntje DeWal (nee VanVeen)
Hotze will be dearly missed by his cherished wife Wilemyntje (nee Jansen) of 60 years, along with His devoted children, Wilma (Ralph), Triesa, Jacob (Carla), John (Teresa), Chuck (Hilda), Hotze (Jane), Ruby (Jeff), Audry (Jim), Nick (Sonya), Doug (Monica), David (Tracy), Juliet, Tim (Jennifer), and Sonya.
Predeceased by his sons Freddie and Benjamin.
Hotze will be extremely missed by his 52 grandchildren and 64 great grandchildren.
These 116 children were so very precious to him and it was so important to him to make sure they knew it.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved brothers and sisters, Jake (late Marie), Alberta, Hennie (Arrend), and predeceased beloved siblings Sienke (Barrie), Tjalling (Janke),
along with his dear brothers and sisters in law, Piet (May), John (late Wendy), Jelis (Ann), Henry (Betty), Dan (Donna), Rudy (Moe), Joyce (Rick), and Corrie (Joe) and predeceased by Roelofje (Joe), Anne (Haas), Gerrit (Sandra).
Hotze was known for his dedicated commitment to his Faith in the LORD and his love for his family, as well as hard work ethic and a desire to live his life to bless others.
Hotze was an icon in the trucking and construction industry in both the Quinte and Pembroke areas.
Hotze will be so sorrowfully missed by so very many others, including and especially the men who work for him, whom Hotze also had great love and respect for.
His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were given such a heritage of faith and strength; they hope to continue to honour their father and Pake by living the way he lived.
Family and Friends are invited to visit Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church, 18 Fourth Avenue,
Trenton, Ontario on Friday, March 3rd, 2017 2-4 pm & 6-9 pm
A Celebration of Hotze’s life will take place at the church Saturday March 4th, 2017 at 1:00pm
Interment to take place at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery, Stockdale Road, following the service.
Reception to follow at Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Trenton Christian School.
