Peacefully at McNally House, Grimsby on Friday, May 23, 2014 the LORD, at His appointed time, promoted into glory Hessel Dantuma in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Wubiena (nee Boekema) for 60 years. Loved father of Rob and Lisa, Ellen and Ed Hekert, Ed and Jackie, and Fred and Marg. Dear Opa of 14 grandchildren and and their families which includes 29 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers Frits and Ibe and his grandson Colin Hekert. Hess was an Office Manager at Gerrie Electric Ltd. for more than 50 years. Friends may visit with the family at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Private Interment Service at Burlington Memorial Gardens. A Memorial Service will be held at COVENANT CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 480 Woolverton Road, Grimsby on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 11 a.m., Rev. Paul Aasman officiating. Reception to follow.
