In her 72nd year, Margaret passed away suddenly in St. Joseph’s Hospital after a long struggle with myeloma and kidney disease. Margaret is survived by her son Stephen (Kirsten), daughter Holly (Roland), ex-husband Fraser, brothers Frank (Aaroon), Joseph (Frances), Allan (Rosemarie), sister Donna (Jim), and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Margaret was the eldest of five children and grew up on a farm near Port Colborne, Ontario and spent most of her adult life in the Hamilton area. She worked for many years at McMaster University, and then for the past 25 coordinating and managing the creative problem-solving business of Dr. Min Basadur. Her warm smile, sunny disposition, and love and dedication to her family will be missed by all who knew her.

The family extends sincere appreciation to the many relatives and friends who have assisted Margaret in her long illness and to Dr. Kouroukis, Dr. Clase, and CCAC.

Friends may call at the KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the renal dialysis unit at St. Joseph’s Healthcare.
