Passed away peacefully, at St. Mary’s Hospital on Monday, April 6th, 2015 in her 90th year, following a brief illness.

Survived by her beloved husband Roy of 70 years, her loving daughters, Wendy Martin (Art predeceased in 1998), Judy Hackbart (Howard Works predeceased in 2014), Cathy Dowdall (Gary), her adored grandchildren Connie Dowdall (William), Patrick Dowdall (Amanda), Kelly Dowdall, Megan Works (Billy), Mathew Works (Chris), and Taylor Works, her cherished great-grandchildren Cooper, Jackson, and William, sisters-in-law Evelyn Powell and Mary Hackbart, brother-in-law Lorne (Ruby) Hackbart, many nieces and nephews and her special grand dogs, Jake and Sami.

Dorothy was predeceased by her sisters and brothers-in-law Ivy (Jim) Smith, Lily (Pat) Quehl, her brother Charlie Powell, as well as sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Audrey (Harold) Dietrich, Phyllis (Alf) Mohr and Bob Hackbart.

Together with her husband Roy, Dorothy worked for Kaufman Footwear for many years, was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Baden and spent several wonderful summers with family and friends at the Fenelon Falls Trailer Park.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Dot with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Friday April 10th, 2015 from 7-9 pm and Saturday, April 11th from 11:30 am à 12:45 pm followed by the funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Baden.
