Passed away peacefully on May 17, 2017 at Grand River Hospital Freeport Health Care Centre. Howard will be remembered by his companion Veronica Thiele, and predeceased by his first wife Eda Gastmeier (1984). Dear father of Ray of Kitchener, Ralph (Kathy) of Kitchener, Carla Laubach of Kitchener, Ron (Linda) of Waterloo, Mark of Kitchener, Jenny Gastmeier (Ralph Schade) of Ayr, and Kristin Gastmeier (Ange) of Nova Scotia.
Loving grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Howard will be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family from around the world. He is predeceased by his brothers and sisters.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Howard with his family during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Tuesday May 23, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. A private family interment will take place at Memory Gardens Breslau on another date.
