Avis de décès de Lorraine Gleiser check_circle

With family by her side, Lorraine peacefully passed away and was welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord on Tuesday, May 24th, 2016 at the age of 65.

She is survived by her husband Brian and is the beloved mother of Tim (Heather Hadden), Amy (Paul Healy), and Michael (Alisha Gleiser). Beloved Grandma of Nixon, Suki, Beatrice, Grant, and Jagger. Loving daughter of Mary Theresa Gaudet of Kitchener (formerly of Hamilton) and predeceased by her father, Joseph Martin Gaudet.

Lorraine’s infectious smile and joyful personality was shared with so many as she was an active volunteer in the Waterloo community. Lorraine’s most magical moments were spent with her family, especially during the summer months at the cottage. She will be fondly remembered by all those whose lives she touched and will be sorely missed by her Acadian family in Nova Scotia where she spent most summers as a child.

Family and friends are invited to join with Lorraine’s family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S. in Waterloo on Sunday, May 29th from 2-5pm. A funeral mass will commence at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 173 Lourdes St. in Waterloo on Monday, May 30th at 2:30pm. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Lorraine’s life following mass at Golf’s Steakhouse, 598 Lancaster St. W., Kitchener. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

The Gleiser family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to the staff of Sunnyside Nursing Home à especially the nursing and personal service workers on the Buttonworks floor – for their compassionate care over the past two years and in Lorraine’s final days.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Sunnyside Home or the KW Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly cherished and can be arranged through www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
