Peacefully in her sleep, at Cawthra Gardens, Mississauga on Sunday February 26, 2017, in her 93rd year.
Beloved Mother of Allan and his wife Josée of Toronto, and Diana and her husband David, of Waterloo. Loving Babcia to Lianna and Nicole, of Waterloo.
Predeceased by her husband Albert in 1996.
Sister of Mary Donaghey and daughter of the late Andrew Lucarz and Helen (Tabor).
Florence emigrated from Poland at the age of 3 to settle with her family on a farm in southern Saskatchewan. Life was hard in the early days, farming in what she called âSiberia’ and facing several operations on her leg for polio. She was a determined young lady though and nothing held her back. Schooling took her to Regina and then on to Toronto where she worked in Stock Brokerage firms. She lived a full life loving every minute with her family, friends and pets. She was known as the life of the party and hosted many of them. She enjoyed traveling, working in her award winning garden, and cooking wonderful meals for whomever dropped by. She was loving, kind and generous to all who knew her. We will miss her dearly.
Arrangements entrusted to Robert Ruggle Funeral Home, 617 King St. N., Waterloo. Private family services will take place. Interment Parkview Cemetery.
