FAZEKAS, Joseph à It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph (Pal) Fazekas announces his passing, following a lengthy illness, at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on Sunday, November 1, 2015 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Marjorie (nee Robins) for 67 years. Cherished father of Joseph (Leslie), Bud (Donna), Dan and Grant (Terri). Proud grandfather of Todd (Heather) Ryan (Karena), Mark (Crystal), Hailey (Martin), Dan (Lisa), Tyler and Jaime. Sadly missed by his many great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Ida Mod, Emily Foss and brother-in-law of Lil Fazekas and Fran Fazekas. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Helen Fazekas, siblings Ted, Les, Hellen, John and grandson Baby Jessie. Joe loved the outdoors whether it was to be in his garden or up north hunting and fishing. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and above all he loved spending time with his family. Respecting Pal’s family’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated with cards available at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland who are in care of the funeral arrangements.
