CSUKERDA, Teresa (Nee Manner) of Fonthill passed away at home on July 26, 2016 in her 98th year. Beloved mother of Mary Imiolo and George. Dearest grandmother of Daniel Imiolo (Christine) and Darla Williams (Dewayne). Loving great-grandmother to Tessa Slote (Kyle), Laura Imiolo (Sam Misener), John and David Imiolo and Sharon Ratte (Colin) Lindsy King (Shaun) and Jessica Ratte. Cherished great-great grandmother of Archer, Henry, Evelyn Slote, Harrison and Oliver Misener and Celeste King. She was predeceased by her husband Frank of 67 years, Father and mother Igance and Barbara Manner, her sister Mary, brother-in-law Steve Stickle, son-in-law John Imiolo, mother and father-in-law Joseph and Barbara Csukerda. Teresa was born in Mor, Hungary and immigrated to Welland in 1928. She attended First Street School and devoted all of her life looking after her family, thus becoming an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed embroidery in her earlier years and watching T.V. especially wrestling in her later years. Relatives & friends may call at
J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence, 19 Young Street, Welland for a visitation on Thursday July 28, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Funeral service to take place in the chapel on Friday July 29, 2016 at 11:30am.
The rite of committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Teresa’s Memory.
