BEAULIEU, Gaëtan- On Saturday, April 29th 2017, Gaëtan Beaulieu passed away at Royal Rose Place, three days after his 72nd birthday. Beloved husband of Huguette Beaulieu, and cherished father of Michèle (Josh) of Edmonton, Natalie Saarimaki (Andrew) of Caledon and Eric (Ruth Ilyin) of Vernon B.C. Loved grandfather of two special granddaughters, Hannah and Megan Saarimaki. He is survived by his siblings Gilda Cuming (Gord), Mariette Connell (late Kevin), Colette Caissie (late Réal), Monette Tardif (Robert), Lisette Côté (Alyre) Pierrette Michaud (Ricky), Réjean Beaulieu (Rose), Fernand Beaulieu (Lynda) and Normand Beaulieu (Janet). Also leaves behind his stepmother Claire Beaulieu, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Yvette, father Adolphe, brother Roland and sister Janine. Gaëtan was a long-standing member of Club Richelieu for 38 years, and the Board of Directors of Caisse Populaire. Life long hockey fan and coach. He also enjoyed many years of baseball as a player and coach. Family and friends are invited to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME (827 East Main St., Welland), on Monday May 1st from 2-4 p.m . and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Eglisé Sacré-Coeur on May 2nd at 11 a.m. Special thanks to the staff at Royal Rose Place for their exceptional care, especially to Becky, Blosette, Virginia, Jordan and Heather.
