It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Tom Wilcox, at the age of 66 years, on Friday July 21, 2017. Loving husband and soulmate for 46 years to Janette Wilcox. Cherished and loving father to Stacy (Todd), Amy (Danny) and loving and cherished papa to Sophia Perlen Seneca. Dear brother of Sandra, Brenda Argo (Jim), Wanda Gonyou (Rob), Debbie Ames (Chris), and Leah Matthews (Wayne). Predeceased by his parents Darwin and Pearl Wilcox, brothers David and Jimmy and sister Donna. He will be missed by many cousins, nephews and nieces, his uncle Charlie and aunt Carol McPherson and all his car buddies. Tom worked at Atlas Steels for 33 years and enjoyed waking up in the wee hours of the morning to get there. Other than his family, his biggest passion was his El Camino and his garden. The Wilcox family will receive relatives and friends at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence 19 Young Street, Welland on Wednesday, July 26th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be celebrated in the chapel on Thursday, July 27th at 11 a.m. Memorial donations in memory of Tom may be made to McMasters Childrens Hospital.
