Peacefully at home on Monday, September 17, 2018, Ken of St. Clements in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Ann (nee Kraemer) of 55 years. Loving father of Pat (Maxine Nuhn), Dan (Karen), Sue (Scott) and Joan (friend Natalie). Dear grandfather of Garret, Sheldon, Nadia, Jon, Connor, Riley, Sarah-Rose and Zach. Ken will be sadly missed by his brother Ray Bender (Mary Anne). Fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters-in law; Diane Bender, Richard Kraemer (Frances), Lucy Dobson, Dave Kraemer (Carol), Audrey Gleeson (Pat), Theresa Golem (Peter), Bernie Kraemer (Janet) as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Emil Bender and Margaret (nee Schiestel), brothers Clem and Wib, brothers-in law Joe Kraemer, Larry Kraemer and Brian Dobson. Ken was an avid hunter, fisherman and an expert butcher at both work and for other hunters. He enjoyed the time he spent at the cottage at Williams Lake. In later years, he enjoyed long country drives and time spent with his family and community neighbours. Special thanks to Herrgott Industries for the ride alongs and to St. Clements Volunteer Fire Department for their care. Friends may call at the FUTHER-FRANKLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley, on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services to St. Clement Roman Catholic Church, 3619 Lobsinger Line, St. Clements for Funeral Mass on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Clements Catholic Cemetery.
