With sadden hearts, we would like to announce the passing of our mother, Loretta Ditner (nee Rumig) into the arms of her beloved Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Palmerston Hospital at the age of 93 years. Loving wife of the late Wilbert (2006). Dear mother of Joyce (Albert Preikschas) of Palmerston, Judy (Dennis Brown) of Cambridge, Karen (Murray Hallock) of Elmira, Gerald Ditner (Eileen) of RR2 Moorefield and Wayne Ditner (Laurie) of RR2 Palmerston. She will be sadly missed by 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren, sister Viola Spielmacher of St. Agatha, brother Frank Rumig (Pat) of Ripley, brother in-law George Buck, sister in-law Phyllis Meirowski as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Anthony Rumig and Barbara (nee Lorentz), her two sons; Gary (1963) and infant son, great-granddaughters; Vanessa Barnai (2006) and Carrissa Ditner (2012), sisters; Marie Frecky, Kathleen Rumig, Coletta Buck, brothers; Hubert Rumig, Allen Rumig, sister in-laws; Marie Rumig, Laurena Rumig and brother in-law; Serf Spielmacher. Loretta was a member of the St. Agatha C.W.L. and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Palmerston. Friends may call at the FUTHER-FRANKLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley, on Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers on Tuesday at 8:45 p.m. Funeral services to St. Agatha Catholic Church, St. Agatha, for Funeral Mass on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Agatha Catholic Cemetery. Father Daniel Lobsinger C.R. officiating. Donations to the Palmerston Hospital or the Parkinson Society would be appreciated.
