Anne Gellner (Lang) of Windsor, entered in the presence of her Saviour on June 7, 2016, at the age of 78, following a brief illness. Beloved wife of John; cherished mother to Roy (Beth) of Belle River, and John James, of Windsor; and treasured Grams to Andrew John. She is predeceased by her parents, Roy and Lillian Lang, brother, Lawrence Donald Miller, daughter-in-law, Patricia Papp (2006), and nieces Patricia and Lillian Miller. Anne also leaves behind several cousins, nieces and nephews and other extended family members, and a multitude to whom she was a devoted friend and confidante. In addition to being a passionate writer and poet, she was a member of the Canadian Vietnam Veterans Memorial Association, Larry S. Semeniuk Chapter, Associate member of the RCL Branch #143 and a tireless contributor to her faith community, ministering to friends and strangers alike with her encouraging words and kind deeds. In accordance with Anne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family for a time of remembrance, to be held Saturday June 11, 2016, from 3 to 5, and from 7p.m.until time of Memorial service at 8:00 p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s name to Banwell Community Church, or to Wounded Warriors Canada (www.woundedwarriors.ca), would be appreciated by the family.
