Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on January 12, 2015 at the age of 93. Loving husband to Eveline (nee Letourneau), with whom he celebrated 70 years of marriage. Cherished father to Rosemarie (Ted) Owen, Carol (Gord) Morris, Dan (Sheila) Fenton, Debbie (Frank) Muscarella, Kim Fenton, Mary-Anne Fenton, James (Terri) Fenton. Gordon was the proud grandfather to twenty grandchildren and forty-one great grandchildren. Dear brother to Ida (late Curly) Boismier, Bill (Ruth) Fenton, Doug (Pauline) Fenton and the late Sydney Fenton, Francis Edwards (1999), Betty Matte (1981), Jack Fenton (1979), Bruce Fenton (2006), Joyce Letourneau (1994) and June Mercier (1998). Dear brother-in-law to Lia Fenton. Gordon will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Gordon was a former employee of WAC Roofing and Alumatic. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Armed Forces Algonquin Regiment from 1940-1945. Gordon’s family would like to send a very special thank you to the staff at Extendicare/Tecumseh Lakewood Section for their wonderful care. You will always be remembered. If you so desire, memorial donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimers Association would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Thursday and Friday 3-5, 7-9 p.m. Windsor Veteran’s Memorial Service under the auspices of Windsor Veteran’s Memorial Service Committee Thursday 4 p.m., Parish prayers Friday 3:30 p.m. at FAMILIES FIRST, 1065 Lauzon Rd., East Windsor, 519-969-5841.
