Passed away peacefully on January 19, 2014 at 79 years of age. Adored father of Joanne and husband Luciano Daniele, Isabella and husband Claudio Pizzo. Loving Nonno of Lucas and Jordan Daniele and Adriana and Adam Pizzo. Will be sadly missed by his brothers Nicola Di Gioia and wife Giovannina and Ercole (Rick) Di Gioia and wife Maria. Predeceased by his former spouse Italia Di Gioia (December 2013). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews in Windsor and Montreal. Luigi was the proud owner of Louie’s Quality Shoe Repair for many years and took great pride in his work. His outgoing personality, sense of humour and great storytelling will be missed by many. Donations to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Wednesday from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Prayers Wednesday at 8pm. Funeral Thursday 10:15am from Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841 to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery to follow.
