Peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 26, 2017, Maria Flora Gollo
passed away at the age of 82. Born on November 30, 1934, in San Vito, Italy, Maria moved to Canada in 1960 with her husband, Lino. She mothered her only child, Chiara, in 1960 and is survived by her son-in-law Salvatore, and her grandchildren, Nicola and Mara. Maria enjoyed sewing, traveling and entertaining family: her sister, Wanda La Caprara and her nieces and nephew, Antonella, Franca, Dolores and Artolino and their respective families. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives. Maria’s family would like to invite those who wish to pay their respects and celebrate her life to Scott Funeral Home [7776 Kipling Avenue, Woodbridge] on Sunday, January, 29, 2017 from 18.00 to 21.00. Family and friends will be received at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church [100 Bainbridge Avenue, Woodbridge] on Monday, January, 30, 2017, where a funeral mass will be held. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery, [7241 Jane Street, Concord] where Maria will be buried alongside her husband, Lino. Maria’s family would like to extend their gratitude to those who attend and those who have paid their respects.
