HARTLEY, Clare G. – At the Woodstock Hospital on Saturday April 11, 2015 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Joan E. (nee Loosmore) Hartley for over 60 years years. Dear father to Terra Hartley, Brenda (Terry) Mitchell, Stephen Hartley (Sue Hanna) and Kent Hartley. Loved grandfather of Jody Riffel (Brandon Capling), Jamie Riffel, Luke Osiak-Hartley and great grandfather of Zac, Matix and Emry. Dear brother of Lorna (Ron) Dodds and brother-in-law to Mary Hartley, Ruth Loosmore, Bill (Agnes) Loosmore and survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Irwin and Florence (nee Entwhistle) Hartley and by his brother Donald Hartley. Clare and his wife farmed in the Woodstock area for many years. In his retirement he became very involved with Food Grains Bank of Canada. He was a past member of Oxford Plowman’s Association and Federation of Agriculture for many years. Friends are welcome to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday April 14, 2015 from 2:30 – 4:30 and 7-9 pm, where the complete memorial service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place. Interment later in the Harris St. Cemetery, Ingersoll.
