Slipped away peacefully with her husband and son by her side at the Woodstock General Hospital on Friday, March 7, 2014, Betty Mae Himes (nee Saunders) of Woodstock, in her 69th year. Daughter of the late George and Eileen (nee Smith) Saunders. Beloved wife of Robert (Bob) Himes. Loving mother of Rob Himes and his wife Jennifer, John Himes and his wife Monika, Brent Himes and his wife Diana and Kimberley Pollington and her husband Ken all of Woodstock. Sadly missed by her 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by her siblings Ronny Saunders and his wife Donna, Terrry Saunders, Paul Saunders and his wife Barb, Brenda Cosby and her husband Mike, Donna Richards, Barb Buchanan and her husband Bob. Predeceased by her sister Sharon Leis (February 8, 2014) and brother-in-law Larry Leis (September 18, 2010). Also remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends will be received at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 12-12:45 PM. A service of remembrance will follow in the chapel at 1:00 pm with Major Stephen Sears. A spring interment of ashes will take place at the Anglican Cemetery.
