Peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on Monday, January 20, 2014, our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, GEORGE WILLIAM KLAZINGA, 58 years, of Wyoming, passed away after an inspiring and optimistic fight that brought a community together to help one of their own. Loved forever by his wife of 35 years, Debbie, his children Heather and Ryan (Mandy), his beloved granddaughter Makenna, his parents Dennis and Tiete Klazinga, and his mother-in-law Hazel (the late Ernie) Higgins. Lovingly remembered by siblings John (Joan), Rick (Arliss), Nancy (Charles), Ingrid (Paul) and in-laws Karen (Lionel) and Linda (Brad), as well as many nieces and nephews. He was a special friend of Hank and Joanne Hoeksema and a chosen brother of Mike Vasey, Ron Vanderburgt, Jody Stirling, Jason Lyon, Mike McGrail, Brian Freer, and Al Scott. Friends and family will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the WYOMING CHAPEL, 650 Broadway St., Wyoming. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Wyoming Christian Reformed Church, 4524 Confederation Line, Wyoming.
