With great dignity and courage on March18th we announced the peaceful passing of Iris (nee Vas). Beloved wife and soulmate for over 62 years to Thomas Fernandez. She will be sadly missed by her adoring children Sandy predeceased, Mandy (Louis), Noel (Sandra), Glenda predeceased, Ashley (Gina). She was a loving grand-mother to Conrad (Jenny), Trevor (Shasha) and Amanda. She was blessed to see her great-grand Daughters Violet, Jade and Nina. She leaves to mourn her siblings Sydney (Ruby), Theresa predeceased Leislie (Iean), Myrtle (Noel), Gordan (Leslie). She was cherished and will be missed by all her extended family including her many nieces and nephews. Iris lived life with a song in her heart and loved to sing it. She was blessed with many talents. She loved her garden and held a special place in her heart for all animals, especially her dogs that have passed on.
