It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, son, husband, brother, uncle and friend on May 31, 2017 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 52.

Denis was born and raised in Prince Albert. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1988 and served for 28 years. He retired as a Sergeant with numerous decorations, including the Special Service Medal and Canadian Peacekeeping Medal with special skills in Russian, Serbian, and Farsi languages. He completed numerous tours overseas, including the peacekeeping mission in Bosnia and the mission in Afghanistan, sacrificing much to protect his country and family.

Denis was residing in Ottawa, Ontario at the time of his passing. He leaves to mourn his wife Margret, his daughter Danielle, his parents Marc and Jacqueline, brother Ron (Judy), their children Marc (Kelly Enns), and Michael, his brother Marcel (Monica) and their children Nicole (Shane) Weinberger, Brittany (Travis Mackie), and Matthew, his sister Michelle (Michel) Chicoine and their children Breanne (Richard Thompson), Stephanie (Preston Korsak), and Christopher, his maternal grandmother Marie Rose Lajeunesse as well as numerous relatives and friends. He also leaves behind a great nephew, Liam Korsak and two great nieces, Zarah Thompson and Azalea Weinberger.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Raymond Lajeunesse, his paternal grandparents Auguste and Eveline Bonneau.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Canada at www.woundedwarriors.ca.

A private service for Denis will be held at a later date.
